“I love to entertain at home but rarely have the time to do it justice. The food often ends up rushed, or I end up exhausted (usually both!) I would never normally have thought of using a caterer for dinners at home, but Annabel at the Hidden Kitchen has completely changed my mind.
She came up with some initial ideas and we worked together on the menu over WhatsApp. She was great about incorporating dietary requirements. The food was delivered to my door beautifully presented, with clear instructions to prepare and serve. All I had to do was lay the table, tidy the house and open the wine.
Annabel’s food is exactly what I’d dream of cooking if I had the time (and the talent). Working with the Hidden Kitchen has completely taken the stress out of entertaining. Annabel is talented, flexible and an absolute joy to deal with. Highly recommended.”

“We recently ordered a selection of Annabel’s batch-cooked meals for our family of four (including two young children), and the whole experience was fantastic. From the very beginning, the process was seamless. Annabel provided a generous, varied, and nutritious menu to choose from - we opted for meatballs in tomato sauce, chicken, bacon and leek pie, smoked haddock fish cakes, and fish curry with coconut milk.
Everything was delivered to our home with clear cooking instructions, and the quality has been outstanding - we’ve already polished off a fish curry, and a pie! Our freezer is now well stocked, and mealtimes have felt stress-free - it’s been a long time since our family has eaten so well! As two working parents with small children, this service has been an absolute game changer - saving us time, reducing the daily pressure of meal planning, and allowing us to enjoy delicious, home-cooked food together. Truly worth its weight in gold. Annabel is seriously talented and makes the whole process seem completely effortless! ”

“Annie took on quite an unusual challenge for me last weekend at an Art Fair. Her remit was to operate a kitchen and provide a tea and cake service to an estimated 150 visitors each day. Annie cooked masses of cakes, but not ordinary cakes - there were chocolate & Guinness gateaux, polenta and raspberry cakes, blueberry and cream sponges - you get the picture!
They were all absolutely delicious. Annie worked non stop on both days, and her warm smile and welcome was the first thing that greeted visitors on arrival, right down to the last customer. Her contribution to the event was invaluable, hugely appreciated by our visitors and compliments flew all day. Annie never got phased by the pressure, absolutely went the extra mile, and left everything spotless. Bravo Annie and a very big thank you - you were brilliant!”

“We had Annie cook our parents’ 50th wedding anniversary dinner, and she was absolutely fantastic! We worked together to create the ideal meal, making sure to cater to everyone’s tastes and the communication was great and good fun.
Annie dropped off all the food a few hours before and there were clear instructions on how to heat it up for the perfect serving. All of the food was delicious, homemade dips for the flatbreads and cheesecake in particular were so so good. Portions were generous and everyone there was very impressed!
I have recommended her to so many of my friends and I would not hesitate to use her again…but I may just pretend that I had cooked it myself next time!”

“Annabel helped me prepare the food for a girl's weekend. We kicked off the celebrations on Friday night with a delicious luxury lasagne, homemade garlic bread & winter slaw. Then for the Saturday night we enjoyed homemade sourdough focaccia served alongside a gorgeous pesto, burrata & heritage salad. For main we tucked into a chicken tagine, jewelled cous cous and ended the evening with a chocolate Guinness cake.
From start to finish the food was excellent! Needless to say, that both my guests and I were incredibly well fed. The portion sizes were really generous, so I was able to enjoy leftovers the next day, a massive bonus. The flavours of each dish were simply delicious and a sign that all ingredients has been hand selected and dishes made from scratch! Thank you for taking the stress out of feeding 6 house guests for the weekend. I look forward to future dinners with some help from the Hidden Kitchen - a must book.”
